While we are able to offer competitive solutions in general cargo our business has temperature sensitive cargo as its core business. Since the founding of Morgan Cargo in the early 90’s, the business has been steadily expanding and while services are performed in more than 16 countries internationally, the focus has remained solely on the exporter or importer’s individual needs. Morgan Cargo operates offices in South Africa, Kenya and the United Kingdom. In South Africa these offices are based in the cities of Johannesburg; Cape Town; Port Elizabeth and Durban. Our administration functions are administered from our office in Pretoria. The facilities at Cape Town and Johannesburg international airport have landside/airside access allowing temperature sensitive cargo to be kept at ideal temperature’s far longer than would be the case with off-airport facilities. Equipment at these facilities include blast chillers; vacuum coolers; deep freezes as well as cold room facilities. The Johannesburg warehouse has 690m2 (7 470 ft2) and Cape Town as 700m2 (7 535 ft2) of cold storage facilities. The 24m2 deepfreezes operate at -25°C (-13°F). As the largest perishable agent in South Africa we are able to offer competitive rates to a wide range of customers and destinations. Our committed staff of 250 will provide you with the best possible service levels while always having a can do approach to challenges.
The operations in Kenya also operate from landside/ airside based facilities at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Unlike other agents we are based on airport allowing improved temperate management to the benefit customers with improved shelf life. The Kenya staff of 80 can certainly meet and exceed your expectations.
Our facility near London Heathrow is fully temperature controlled which includes three state of the art blast chillers while we also have the ability to scan cargo resulting in unknown cargo handed in as known cargo. Our knowledgeable team of 46 employees are ready to assist with your perishable requirements. We are British Retail Consortium accredited, have an HMRC external temporary storage facility as well as being a regulated agent for exports. The Johannesburg; Cape Town and London operations are International Civil Aviation Authorized facilities.
Our services include imports as well as exports by sea or air and we handle fresh fish; live lobster; meat; fruit; cut flowers and vegetables.
